Sedgefield Borough Area - how to pay your Non Domestic Rates bill

The Council’s preferred method of payment is by Direct Debit as it is more efficient and convenient for you.

The account number shown on the front of your bill must be quoted in all cases to ensure that your account is correctly credited.

Direct debit

If you are not already paying in this way please call 01388 824059 with your bank details and we will do the rest.

Debit/Credit cards

Please call 01388 824064 and use our 24 hours a day automated service. Credit Cards are subject to a 2% surcharge.

PC Banking

Make your payments to Co-operative bank account number 61190218 sort code 08 90 70. Please make sure that you quote the Non Domestic Rates account number which is on the front of your bill.

By post

You can send to the Council Offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, DL16 6JQ. Please do not send cash through the post. Cheques should be made payable to Durham County Council, please print your account number on the back.

Post Office

You can pay at any post office using the post office transcash slips. You will need the Council’s account number 6097227 and your Non Domestic Rates reference number which is on the front of your bill. There may be a charge for using this service.
