Date Received - Date Application Received by the Authority and entered into the system - at this stage the application has not been validated and may be incomplete. If the application is incomplete a letter will be sent to the applicant explaining what further information is required.
Date Validated - Date the application has been validated by the planning department - this is the date all information required for an application has been received. An acknowlegement letter will be sent to the applicant.
Consultation End Date - All applications must undergo a consultation period - this is usually 21 days. This can be with neighbours, site and press notices and with standard consultees such as Durham County Council. The Consultation End date is the last date of consultation with the various consultees. During this period it is possible for anyone to Comment on An Application.
Committee Date - For those applications that have not been decided through the delegated Officer a Committee Date is set to decide the application.
Target Date - The Date the authority aims to complete the application by. The authority attempts to complete 80% householder applications within 8 weeks, 65% of minor applications within 8 weeks and 60% of major applications within 13 weeks.
Expiry Date - The Date the application has completed - no more consultation can take place.
